Pro V1X over Pro V1

With the new results...

After looking at the golf digest spin rates and seeing that the V1x is only spinning 50 RPM less than V1, i think i'm going to make that switch. The V1x flies through the wind better and carries a little longer than the V1 and if it's only spinning 50 RPM less (nothing, practically) then it should be a great ball. What do you guys think?

I think the overall deciding factor is the feel. Once the performance characteristics of the two balls get this close, the way it performs off the putter face is the most likely way it gets the nod in a test between the two.
Having tried both, I didn't see a noticable difference in shots off the driver or irons, but the real difference was in pitch shots and of course putts. The ProV1x seems to scuff up a bit quicker too. The ProV1x seems a lot firmer to me, which I don't like around the green. Obviously, someone with a much higher swing speed may benefit from a firmer ball on full shots, but it may be a compromise when it comes to putting. It's a tough call to make, but putting has the final say for me.

Back when the Titleist originally released the x1, there was a huge difference. The new releases of the 07 and 09 prov's have increasingly closed the difference gap between the two. The 1x spins alittle less, has a firmer feel, and is a few yards longer off the tee.

I agree the '09 x is a good ball for me even though it isn't
"supposed" to fit... and I never get along well with the previous x's

I agree and believe it comes down to feel between these two balls.
