Legend Trail....condition??

I used to love playing Legend Trail in North Scottsdale all the time (pre 2008) however the last couple times i have played it the course has been in less than desireable condition. The fairways have been either bald or flooded and the greens I have family coming in from out of town and my brother-in-law wants to play at Legend Trail.

 

Has anyone played there recently and what type of condition is the course in? I would hate for my brother in law to come in from New York and play a course in substandard condition...Thanks.

I have not been out there since this summer, so maybe things got better after the overseed, I would be curious to hear from anyone that has played it recently aswell. the conditions left such a bad taste in my mouth after my last round I have never been back. Hopefully they had a good overseed, and things are back to normal.

I played it this past summer after getting an e-mail special (around $40-$50 I think..) and felt the exact same way. Ever since Troon cut ties with the course, it has never been the same. Tee times are available on golfnow for $59, and i am tempted to book. However I think I rather take my family to Vista Verde ($75 right now) or Trilogy at Vistancia....

I played it shortly before overseed it it was in much better condition then when One Putt and I played it. Its kind of a crapshoot though considering some of the other deals that can be had right now.

So, i ended up playing Legend Trail today..The course was in better shape than i anticipated! The greens where pretty fast (not as fast as the TPC champions after @ school a few weeks ago..) but rolling well. The greens are still pretty hard as they are still only about 18 months old and just went through their first overseed (per the guys in the clubhouse..)

The ill feelings i had after playing the course in August are mostly gone and it looks like they came out of overseeding pretty well and the greens are in decent shape (not perfect, still some bare spots on a few..)
the bunkers were very inconsistent and some of the green side bunkers did nearly enough sand at the bottom to play a normal bunker shot (which was pretty frustrating..)

HOwever, the driving range was awful and there were some terrible pin placements on the practice green (definitely illegal). I love the layout of the course and hopefully things will continue to improve...
