2010 WITB

I'm so excited I just ordered my new irons Ping G15 5-LW. I can hardly wait, it is horribly painful. Excited to see the difference in real course playability from my S58's. I was really surprised to see the differences on the launch monitor because it was so the opposite of what I read on here. Probably because I'm a 13 handicap and do not strike the ball as pure as most on this site. The simulator monitor showed the G15 to be a lot more consistent distance wise than the S58. The trajectory of the G15 was high every time but the S58 could be quite different and dramatically changed the distances. I spent a lot of time in the simulator with my irons and theres and was really surprised to see the differences. Hope it is the same thing in the real world with the wind blowing.

 

I'll post pictures as soon as they show up. Also new this year is a Nike Str8 fit 9.5 and Nike Unitized Tiempo.

Here are the pictures of my WITB in 2010. So excited to get the year started but I'm a little early in South Dakota. Going to Missouri next week but might have to keep going to Arkansas by the sound of things. Still a little undecided on the putter my ping piper H i series could make it back to the bag, hoping for better distance control with the Nike.

I know I'm at a loss and not sure what will be #14, I used the simulator to check my gaps and everything is the way I want it for the most part. Being from South Dakota though I'm waiting til spring before I get anything else to make sure my gaps are right. It seems like the 6 iron is a lot hotter than my 7 iron but either way all I will probably do there is send the 6 back to Ping and get it delofted a couple degrees.

Depending on the short game I might stick my 60* tour w in the bag for more spin and versatility around the green.

With just simulator & indoor dome time I can say I'm very surprised and excited. They feel nothing like my S58's but the distance control is so much better from bad shot to good shot. I understand what people say about being able to make the ball do more things with a blade. I can really affect the trajectory with my S58's, problem is I cant control it or repeat it the way I want to from day to day. Going to Missouri or Arkansas next week to play 18.

I demo'd them at the end of season last year and found them to be very easy to hit and longer than my S58's, strange thing was I found them easier to work left to right than my S58's which didn't make a lot of sense to me from all the comments I hear about this style of iron. I can definitely work the S58 farther from right to left though.

I noticed the same thing when I went from s59's to tm burners. I may not be able to work them laterally quite as much, but they are still workable. And I've never encountered a situation where I needed to work the ball more then they can handle. My experience wit cb's has been very positive, even though they're not the g-15's.
