What's in my bag

Here is a list of what is going to be in my bag at the start of the 2010 season.

Golf Bag: Mizuno cart/stand bag. I bought this bag 8-9 years ago when Mizuno first came out with it.




Driver: 9.5* Callaway FT-i with a ProLaunch Red X-stiff shaft




3 wood: 15* Callaway Diablo Neutral stiff shaft



Utility: 16* Taylormade Rescue steel stiff shaft



Irons: Mizuno MP-62 DG S300 shafts



Pitching Wedge: 47* Mizuno MP T DG S300
Gap Wedge: 50* Titleist Vokey DG S300. I had this club bent to 51*
Sand Wedge: 56* Mizuno MP T DG S300 with 10* bounce
Lob Wedge: 60* Cleveland 588



Putter: Ping Anser 2i





The only change I might make before the season starts is to replace my driver with a Callaway Diablo driver but it will depend on the deal I can get.

Rather than the Diablo Driver, check out a Callaway F-9 instead. They are some great deals on them right now.

Any reason for using the stronger lofted MP-T instead of the MP-62 PW?

I found the MP-62's used at a Golf Galaxy for $350 and they looked brand new. They might have 5 rounds on them. The only catch was the guy who traded them in to Golf Galaxy did not provide the PW in the set. He instead added the 50* Vokey wedge. I looked up the loft of the PW in the MP-62 series and it said the PW was 47*. I looked on ebay for a 47* wedge and found the MP T wedge for a pretty good price.

After looking around the forums for the last few days, I found some really cool pictures of guys customizing the paint colors on their clubs. I am always looking for a way to make my clubs stand out so I decided to give it a try.

The first club I changed was my putter. I changed the Ping from white to blue. I also added white paint to Karsten, Anser 2i and USA that were originally just engravings with no paint. You can see the before picture at the beginning of the post.

I also started working on changing the black paint on my Mizuno MP-62 irons to blue. I have finished 3 clubs so far but wanted to share what my 7 iron looks like after the custom paint job.
