HELP

i do not know what i am doing here...if i already talked to a co-owner and founder of the website, and they couldn't assist me (whether by choice or not), why would i come here? I have had a problem with a listing of 2 items, am aware of the rules, and just need somebody in charge of the site to help me fix my honest mistake. Thank you

I don't know what happened to your listing (surprising, I know) but if you have an ad deleted without any notice, please re-read the rules. Looking through your topic history and trash, it seems maybe your most recent ad was deleted or merged with an existing open one. [b]Keep in mind that before you can create a new listing, you must close any open ones [/b](or request a lock via the "Report" button). Hope that helps.

thank you very much for your explanation. i truly appreciate you helping me and explaining what happened. I think it is unacceptable, as a customer, to be talked to the way i was by one of the owners and founders. Belittling a customer and being rude by telling he/she they messed up, instead of explaining how he/she messed up and offering help, is appalling. Once again, I do appreciate your help with my situation and am much more educated on listing policies.

Please keep in mind that there are [b]tens of thousands[/b] of members that use this site, [b]thousands[/b] that browse the Classifieds, and [b]hundreds[/b] (if not thousands) that sell items here, and[b] dozens[/b] of ads that go up on a daily basis and [i]the group that runs and moderates the forums simply does not have the time to walk each and every member through the process or provide a detailed explanation to every single inquiry.[/i] For the most part, the Classifieds are a completely free service (other than the pinned ads) and the rules are [u]clearly stated at the top every page[/u] of those sections. In addition, there are several topics pinned at the top that clarify rules and provide tips for uploading photos, etc.

While it may seem like the person you PMed was being rude, keep in mind that what we do here is not our day job and we volunteer our time to make sure things run smoothly. Think about all the information, industry coverage, contests, giveaways, etc. that is secured for the membership at no expense to you. People like to complain about the BST rules and how they're enforced but don't realize that the Classifieds forum takes a tremendous amount of work for us to maintain... and it costs nothing to use.

We want everyone to enjoy the forums and benefit from the Buy/Sell/Trade section but we simply cannot entertain each and every request for help, particularly when most of the time little to no effort has been put forth to figure things out by those inquiring. I hope you understand the position we're in.

To clarify,

I apologized to you for inadvertently sending an incomplete PM which was misinterpreted as a blow off. I then directed you to the website help section as I simplify have many competing projects and very little time address and research individual requests. Our under appreciated mods really run the place on a day to day basis and as indicated in every forum and in my signature, every question should be posted here for the team to address if need be.
