Figured I'd make my first post a WITB for 2010, nothing too controversial.

 

So here's whats in the Hoofer C-1

 

 

 

Driver

Titleist 909 D3 X-stiff Voodoo

 

 

 

Fairway

Titleist 906F Stiff UST Pro Force V2 (90g)

 

 

 

Irons

Callaway Big Bertha 1 iron, been in the bag for years. Currently got the stock uniflex shaft, thinking about replacing it with a Project-X Flighted 6.0.

 

 

 

Callaway 2008 X Forged 3-PW Project-X Flighted 6.0 shaft.

 

 

 

Wedges

Titleist Vokey 52 degree, 56 degree Spin Milled.

 

 

 

Putter

Taylor Made Monza Itsy Bitsy Spider

 

 

 

The putter changes between the Spider and a Scotty Cameron Newport 2 depending on the greens I'm playing.

 

Interested to hear opinions on my set up, especially suggested improvements.

 

Also thinking about updating the wedges to Callaway Jaws, probably 52 and 56 again, any advice?

Have you ever held up your 1 iron over your head in a thunderstorm? Even God can't hit one, you know.

Believe it or not it's one of the easiest clubs in the bag to hit, plays more like a hybrid.

I know, if it works for you, great. Everytime I hit a 1 iron the shortstop always catches it!

Nice set-up! I've always loved the look of Titleist woods, but either they don't feel right to me, or I just can't hit them.

I tried a bunch of wedges before I settled on the Vokeys, so I can't really help you there. I really like my CG12 64, but I had to get it cut down and weighted to match the Vokeys before I could really start to play with it.

I moved to Titleist woods with the 975 JVS, moved to the 983K, 905R, 907 D2 and now on to the 909 D3, not to mention all the fairways.

Let me know if that tip works.

Hit it around 225, ideal off the tee when the rough gets up.

Fills the gap between the 3 wood and 3 iron perfectly.
