driver shaft help...

similar to v2 75X...

looking for a driver shaft with similar playing characteristics to the v2 75X, but with a more lively tip. i like the v2 very much but think i mightt be able to benefit more from a shaft with a torque value higher than 2.2. looking for tour level, mid 70's g, mid ball flight, low spin and long downrange flight. any suggestions? will be putting this shaft into a nike ignite 460 or possibly a 905R or J33R, (ignite/J33R in 9.5* lofts, 905R in 8.5*)...thanks ya'll, don't be shy, lay it on me

I am interested in this as well (for an 8.5* 905r). I know the Diamana blueboard would probably fit your description, but it is a bit pricey. I am curious what other options people have encountered.

I would say the look into the Fujikura ZCOM TW-74 or the Diamana REDboard 73. I don't think the BlueBoard is that difference that you are looking for.

An Accra T70 might work. It has a weight in the low 70's a torque rating of 2.9. It has an active tip and is a really good feeling shaft. I like it better than the V2.

I had one in J33R 460 and it worked great.

I agree with dlefty, if money is not an issue, the Diamana 73 Red Board would be a perfect shaft.

unfortunately money is somewhat of an issue. how much would a diamana redboard run me? i am interested in the accra line and also the bimatrix, but i've had a hard time getting feedback about the bimatrix, though from what i understand about its make up and numbers it might do the job... keep it comin folks, appreciate the energy...

Joe K, is the man. I spoke with him before deciding to put the V2 in and spoke with him again after a mini tour pro F'd up my head, and suggested i look for a softer tip section shaft. i called joe and he put my mind at ease, reassuring me i HAVE the best shaft for my swing, speed (115mph) and goals(tighten shot dispersion and add club head speed) installed already in the V2. if you read this thanks again Joe, you da man! no longer looking for a shaft folks, thanks for the time and responses though...
