Anyone have any thoughts/experience with the Fuji Fit-On series of shafts? I noticed Golfsmith had them in their 2010 catalog. However, finding any reviews or feedback on them is hard to find. Thanks for any input.

hello there, IMO the Fuji fit-on series are a decent shaft. One caveat, it depends on what you want to use them for and your swing characteristics.

I will give you some examples:

I have a swing speed of 100-105mph. This places me in a particular area where any various types of shafts can fit me, from rombax to graffalloy's from truly stiff to regular flex shafts.

In my many experiments I have found the FIt-on M 150 to be really good for a hybrid club. In particular my 4hybrid FT callaway.
I bought a 3hybrid FT with the same shaft and it didn't feel the same.
This speaks more about the inconsistency of the manufacturing of the shafts then the shaft dynamics.
If the dynamics or specs were the same as my 4hybrid I would of keep that shaft, as it stands I pulled that shaft, but I kept my 4hybrid with the FUJI-FIT-ON-M 150 (this shaft provided me with the best 'feel' and although I sometimes overpower the shaft I will not switch it out).

I have found that the E-350's do not have the same feel, and I agree with the other poster that there are better shafts out there.

By the way I also tried the M-150's on 3 and 5 wood's and did not get the same feeling

If as I suspect, you are trying to feel the club head and need a shaft that will assist getting you the distance, depending on what club you are looking to put the shaft into I would suggest the M-150's or another oldie but goodie a graphite design Pershing shaft in 55 or 65gram.

So yes the shaft is a bit inconsistent but if you are willing to look for the right feeling one then you will get one that is good.

My suggestion...go to a golf galaxy or whatever main shop you have around your area. Look for the callaways ft's and swing some of them, new or used, regular flex or stiff flex doesn't matter. Just make sure that they are m-150's or e-350's and feel them. If you find one, buy it and if you don't like the head, pull the shaft and install in your own head.

Keep in mind the weight of the original head. IE hybrid's are notoriously heavier then 3 or 5 woods.

Good Hunting

cheers mate

I have a Fujikura Fit-On E380 in my Cobra F Speed LD driver (9.5* - stiff flex).
I was fitted last year and this set-up is the result of that fitting. The findings during the fitting that I remember are a 106-108 mph swing speed, I don't recall launch angle and spin rates, but I have no trouble getting the ball into the air. The fitter did say that I put an unusually large amount of load on the shaft and have a quick tempo. The fitter recommended a heavier shaft with a stiff lower section and low torque to produce a straighter, slightly lower ball flight with a tighter dispersion of shots.. The Fit-On E-380 was one of the choices. Another choice was the UST Proforce V-2 Tour Model.
Prior to the fitting, my normal ball flight was high with a 10-15 yard fade (stock stiff shaft). I would slice occasionally, some days more so than others. Distance was never an issue. After the fitting, my fade was down to about 4-6 yards, the ball flight was lower but still plenty high, and my slice all but disappeared. Distance on well-struck shots remained about the same, possibly a few yards longer due to a bit more roll-out from a slightly lower flight.
To me, the shaft feels slightly "boardy", but based on what the fitter recommended, that was probably to be expected. From a quality standpoint, I think the shaft is as well constructed and designed as any I've owned. I also like the way it looks, for what that is worth.
Overall, I think the Fujikura Fit-On is a quality shaft which has improved my tee shots. I would recommend one to anyone who was fitted and the Fujikura was one of the options.
A few posters have said that the V2, NV, Prolaunch and others are superior. I am not a club-maker or expert, but from personal experience (hitting friend's clubs with some of those shafts, and I owned a PING G5 driver with a Prolaunch shaft) I have not found that to be the case. That is just my opinion.
