having a hard time squaring putter grip in relation to 8802 head

attaching grip square to face square is soo tricky

Guys how do you align your putter grips in relation to putter face?. square or slightly open? i usually play it square but some putters are made a couple of degrees open. i ask coz i play mine square but i pulled shaft from my 8802 and re attached another shaft. used the same pingman putter grip and realized it was attached square but face is a tad open.

i tried squaring the grip while keeping the face square but with the 8802 head its dizzying. cannot seem to fine a reference point to keep the grip and head squared. any advice? im making a problem out of nothing and its eating me up

I drew vertical lines on the wall where my vice for regripping is and I have never had a problem squaring an 8802 head. I then use a level to ensure that the grip is square.

my vice is no where near a wall. i can just place the head along a wall, draw a vertical line and square the grip using a ruler. thanks you gave me an idea.
