Anyone try this thing? A buddy's wife let it slip to my wife that he purchased this thing and intends to use it in our "friendly" game on Sunday.

 

Should I bust him before, during or after I still beat him on Sunday?

That is flippin insane! I wonder how true the roll on the ball is after getting smashed by a driver at 100 plus degree's! You'd think it would be like putting a hard boiled egg.

I hadn't even thought about putting the ball...I will make sure he doesn't switch out to a "putting" ball. It will be blatantly obvious if this thing works b/c the guy only hits it about 240 off the tee.

the price tag is alot...but they are correct. That is why I love the summer time so much. The heat makes the balls compress so much easier. key example...you saw all the pro's taking 5 irons into that 223 par 3 sunday at Winged Foot????? It was like 91 or 92 degress w/ low humidity. What a great combo! Just like if you golfed in Colorado, the balls carry futher due to the fact the air is thiner.

 

I don't know if you saw Hank Haney at the World Golf Match Play. The fellas drives in the morning were not at long due to the temp. He said (I think) for every 10 degree drop below 75 degrees, you can figure at 2 1/5 yard decrease in ball carry.

I know exactly what you mean, I always walk with a second ball in my armpit on cold days to try and warm it up.

 

Conversely, when I was in college my neighbor blew up his microwave trying to warm up a sleeve of Professional 90's
