Hit the six iron at the local pro shop but off a mat . I was still amazed at how straight and far and sweet this felt. Who has gamed a set and what do you think? Thanks.

Just got fitted with these (coupled with Accra 80i Flex Tour Iron shafts)today at Cool Clubs in Dallas. I immediately bought a set at Golf Galaxy and took them over to be fit with the new shafts. I tried the Burner 2.0s, JPX-800s and 800 Pros. I play to a 12 and my SS is 88 with the irons. I am switching from a set of the X-22s (non-tour) with the standard Cally graphite shafts. I hit with the KBS steels and a few other graphite shafts. This is my second fitting with Cool Clubs, the first being with my driver a month ago. I am sold on their system and methods, but, you do pay a price for this level of "customer service". Theie prices actually are not all that bad considering what you get in return, but you will pay full list price for new shafts. There may be "cheaper" alternatives, but the way the "pure" the shaft is money well spent, IMHO. I can only afford to do this every few years as a result.

The X-24 fit with the Accra shaft was BY FAR the best combination for me. My ball speed increased from 112-115 up to 123-126. There is no comparison to the X-22s in either appearance or performance. They do have a dark, slightly thicker topline at address, and a slightly larger face. The X-24s are solid striking irons with a very hot face. Feel was crisp, sound was reassuring, and ball flight was superb. My launch angle improved from 13 up to 16.

To be fair, I did hit the other clubs mentioned very well, just not AS well or AS consistent as the X-24s. I actually had my heart set on a new set of the JPX-800 Pros to be honest, but i just could not get the same performance out of them as the Callys.

Just one man's opinions, and I am very satisfied.

Seemingly minor differences from the X22, but improvement significance is in the performance. Small changes, big rewards.

They have a typical amount of offset for a game improvement iron, but not so much that it is a hook machine or unpleasant in set up appearance.

The topline is the same as the X22, but it appears wider because of the black finish.

Also compared to the X22, the iron is slighly longer from toe to heel, and also has a slightly thinner sole, and less bounce. These will help with forgiveness on off center mis hits, as well as improving on playability from various lies because of the thinner sole. I am a fan of less bounce as it contributes to better feeling crisp contact.

Worth $100 more than the X22? Budget aside I say absolutely. And of course the longer shafts and stronger lofts contribute to longer distance as well.

Something I am not sure what to attribute to, other than maybe comfort with the irons, is the stronger, more ascending, penetrating ball flight than I had with the X22's. The shafts I believe are the same, true temper, high launch.

However while the X24's launch high enough still, they nevertheless launch lower than the X22's, and just seem to have that improved, more boring ball flight just mentioned, which of course contributes to that distance improvement.

And as for the 9 iron, PW, and even AW, there is plenty of launch and even spin for soft approach shots that check nicely on the greens.

I can see anyone from low to mid to high handicap liking these, notwithstanding personal preferences for or against certain amounts of offset. And if you're not a fan of the uniflex, you do have other steel options as well, even though that wasn't advertised very well at launch.

If you decide to get them, I believe you'll be very happy with them. As for me, I bought them when they first came out, and it was an excellent decision and purchase.
