Just noticed they finally have the stats upgrade.

Wondering how well its working from those that purchased the upgrade?

Works fine for me. I didn't have any issues with it. Score, FWs, GIRs, and putts are easy to use.

Not sure how much I like the club distance tracking thing. I'm trying to use it when I can, but it seems tedious and I haven't been able to comfortably fit it into my routine yet.

I agree with you in regards to the Club Stats feature; no matter how much I try to make a incorporate using it for each shot, it doesn't seem to be engrained into my shot routine. One thing that I find crazy is the fact that when you click "next shot" it covers up the distance and just gives you the suiggested club (based on past distance averages) - which is okay, I guess. But, what it doesn't take into consideration is the pin location, elevation, wind, etc. just the distance to the center of the green. That being said, why wouldn't it display a suggested club in a split-view window with the suggested club. I find that I click "done" then go back to the distance window, and then click "mark" again after making the analysis of hitting the suggested club or moving up/down based on the shot conditions. Hmm, maybe that's why I cannot get the process incorporated into my routine.

One thing I REALLY CANNOT UNDERSTAND is the fact that the stats are only calculated/averaged on a single round. That's correct, the GIR's, FIR's, Putt's are all averaged on a single round. HELLO! we are all amateurs and can have 28 putts one day and 38 the next. Why in the world would Callaway let me average club distances over all rounds, but not the critical components like GIR's and FIR's. You mean to tell me that while developing this software they never once thought "you know, the golfer might want to know what percentage of fairways he/she hit over the last 30 rounds?" At the very minimum, they should allow you to upload these stats to their website and then pivot the data based on your round stats - take a page out of golflogix's FREE service Callaway!!!

Oh well, I guess I will just wait another 2 years for an update. Despite all the complaints and sarcasm, I do like the new features - it just seems that they could have put more thought into the development of said features.

Sounds a little dissapointing. One feature I'ld like to see is a lock out so the hole doesn't change after putting it in your pocket. Ended buying it out of curiosity. Too bad with all those stats it doesn't calculate handicap.
