Callaway LR550 vs LR800 vs Bushnell V2

Hey guys

I got rid of the ol' GPS and am ready to move to a rangefinder. After extensive research I have narrowed it down to these 3. They are all listed at about $299 right now so as far as price goes it looks to be a wash. I have never owned a rangefinder before and do plan on testing a few out before buying but I would just like to hear which one everyone else likes the most.

Add the Bushnell Medalist to the list as well. Just noticed Golfsmith has them for $249 this week.

I have no experience with the Bushnell.
I do have the LR800 (and have tried the LR550). It works great for me. It picks up flags easily, also edges of bunkers, etc.
No problems up to 300 yards. Highly recommended.

The fact the Callaway (or Nikon) models are waterproof is a big + imo.
Another '+' is the fact that you can 'scan'. And it works with a Li battery...

I'm using the Callaway 550 and couldn't be happier.

I went from Skycaddie Sg3 to Upro to Lr800 and I LOVE the LR800, it works perfect and picks up the flag with no issues everytime. I will say if its extremely foggy, good luck picking anything up. This is like 1 in 30 rounds for me though so its not an issue. I just ask my buddy who has gps when that happens.

I have the V2 and could not be happier, check the warranty and I believe Bushnell is 2 years(serviced by them) and Callaway is 1 year and probably harder to work with since they are actually made by Nikon. Just my 2 cents but when you have a problem I prefer to have a the best warranty!!
