Anyone know a reliable distance calculator?

Hi all! Just wondering if there is an online resource that can help me determine the approximate carry distances of my different irons. I know without question that my normal 9-Iron carry is 135 yards. I'm pretty much dialed in from 9 to SW. But I still struggle with club selection on my mid and longer irons. I don't really have time to make up a consisten yardage book this season, but I'm gonna work on it for next season.

Anyone have any online ideas?? Thanks.

What do you mean by an online distance calculator? Do you mean something that, e.g. calculates your 7-iron distance based on your 9-iron distance? Because there is no such thing that can calculate that any better than a guess!

Its not very accurate. What I do is go to a good par three course with a range finder. Mark your balls 1-4 (or however many you use) and blast away. Remind yourself that this is carry distance so go off where the pitch mark is, not the ball. Then when you play a course with hard greens you can acount escape yardage or vice versa. This is the best way. You can also just take a range deal when you go play and when you hit one solid go and pace it off.

Its a lot of work, but it will pay off. Hope this helps

Not a number. Can mean a lot of things. Division by zero, even root of a negative number, etc.

Need to use a browser with updated Javascript. I tried using Firefox and it came up with NaN, then used IE and worked perfectly. Actually the distances were pretty close. Actually quite scarely when I think about it.... :drinks:

Sorry but you have to be kidding me. Go to the range and hit to some targets that you know the distances to. Use a range finder to where you carry the ball. This is a wierd topic.
