I was guilty of Tiger swing change frustration, but at this writing he's 6 wins in a row :( . The bottom line is this guy is the rarest of the rarest athletes. We are lucky to be around to witness this whole scenario.

Tiger was very flat, he was very laid off, he was very off plane in the backswing. I complained ever since he started with Haney because that is what he prefers with his "parallel" planes.

 

Tiger is now has a flat ON PLANE backswing that is not laid off anymore. This allows him to be on plane on the downswing and allows him to do what he does, be the best golfer on the planet and dominate.

 

That's what he's doing.

 

Yes Tiger can still impove, he tries to swing "down the target line" more than he should. This causes some of his current misses. He has a false idea that doing so adds power and that hogan used too which again is wrong. He needs to move a bit more left through the ball.

You have got to be kidding me, amateurs dissecting Tiger's swing. So who is going to tell Tom Brady he isn't throwing the football correctly? You guys need to spend more time on the range working on your swing than worrying about Tiger's.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but not everybody in this thread is an amateur... In fact there's one individual in this thread who's opinions I place more weight on than anybody I've ever seen on the golf channel.

 

That said, this thread is pretty humorous to read now...

Sorry to have insulted everyone with this thread that was started 3 months ago. I was merely trying to make the point THEN (3months ago) that his swing seemed off, nothing against Tiger, I feel priveledged to watch him play.

 

Haney teaching is another matter, that is who the thread was aimed at not The Great El Tigre.

 

It is funny in hindsight, and if the guy that WTF'ed me to death could read he could see that I gave him credit later on in the thread.
