Mizuno combo

mx-23 (3-7) and mp-60 (8-pw)

what up fellow golfers.....how ya doin'.....anyways, i have a gift card to the local pro shop and i have almost everythng i ever could ask for in golfing equipment. so i got to thinking, maybe i should try a combo set with mizuno. right now, i play the mx23.......and i was wondering if anyone has ever contemplating on trying this combo....the mx23 in 3-7 and the mp-60 in 8-pw? any luck...? what do ya think.....? i'm trying this combo for forgivness and accuracy...........

I just placed the same order yesterday but with a fli-hi 23 and a fli clk 20

It's not a bad combo to have. I would warn you to be warry of distance gaps in those sets of irons though...

 

I've got both sets of irons, and I'm about 10 yards longer with my 23's than my 60's. For comparison, I hit my MP-60 7 iron about 160 yards, and my MX-23 7 iron about 170 If I switch over to my MP-60 irons from 8 thru PW, I hit my MP-60 8 iron about 150 yards. This leaves me a 20 yard gap between my MX-23 7 iron, and my MP-60 8 iron.

 

You might have to look at the shafts or loft angles of your irons to cover any distance gap.

thought about this too, i have both sets, you will need to have the lofts bent week on the 23's to make it work right. You don't want to loose the trajectory on the mp-60's.

 

If distance is an issue for you, then have the mp-60's bent strong, but you aren't going to get those wonderful soft landings that the mp-60's do so well.

This combo looks very interesting. Actually I was also thinking about some more forgiveness in my irons when my games is not on. I am thinking about this combo:

2i MP Fli-Hi

3i MP Fli-Hi

4-7 MX-25

8-PW MP-60

Has anybody any experiences with this or a similar combo?
