Donald Ross course fading away.....

I love Donald Ross courses with neat layouts like Warren Valley West. They also have 18 more holes by Ross (WV East). This place is in terrible condition and really not worth playing unless you are a true Ross disciple. I played the East a few years back and it was in better shape at the time. I think that the county has really let this place FALL APART. Shame on you! There are too many nice courses in the area for the same price. My backyard has better conditions. Here are a few pics..

A friend of mine used to be the Super there, but after his budget being cut year after year, he took a job selling equipment used in the golf industry. ( Mowers and Such)

 

He did a great job with the little he had, but you have to remember the Rouge River over flows and floods this course a few times a summer.

 

They even talked about restoring the course when they found an old photo taken from a plane, but then realized all the old bunkers would cost too much to keep up.

 

Too many good option in the greater Detroit area to settle for this course anymore.
