S300 vs X100 shaft users

I am wanting to change my stock T-Step 110gram shafts in my TM LT2's. They are too soft and hit way too high. I am thinking about going to DG S300 or X100. Everywhere I look online (online generic fitting) it says I should use X100. I hit a 7 iron 175 with and average tempo. Should I go with the softer S300 or not worry and go with X100. I have an X flex stock REAX in my R7 425. I want to go with DG shafts becuase of the price and want the ball flight to come down.

You can go with the X100 and soft step them if you are worried about them being too stiff. That would give you a lower ball with a little more flex without going to the S300's. You might also look at the S400's.

If your 7 iron really does carry 175, you should be sticking with X100...try to come up with some tour x100s

 

S300s, even hard stepped, would be a waste of time for you

You are not going to have a problem going up in stiff with iron's... I normally keeps shot's straighter. You will have supreme control... because you will normally know where they will go...

 

If shafts are loose you might tend loose one and think you sliced.

 

I was in the same situation... changed to X100 by the advice of a fellow Wrx'er and haven't looked back since.

X-100 will be fine. I have them and so many people out there just say its rediculous if you ask them but they don't know what they are talking about. x-100s are not that stiff. You will definitely feel they are stiffer though. Mis-hits end up shorter than s300s in my opinion, but I like the additional feeling of directional control. I hit the driver about 300 and only hit my 7 iron 165. The main reason for the lack of 7iron distance is that I still hit the ball too high even with the x-100s. The x-100s did bring my ball flight down a good bit, but the shaft alone can only do so much. If you hit the 7i 175yds, x-100s no problem.

X-100 will be fine. I hit my 7 iron 170 and whenever I play S300s, I hook the hell out of the ball and hit it way too high. I also have a pretty smooth tempo. The X-100 are great shafts and it sounds like your swing will have no problem handling it.
