which driver would you prefer??

Hey Everyone:

I thought that I would pose this question to my fellow golfwrx "comrades-in-arms". You have a choice of two drivers to use. The first is the classic Titleist 983K and the other is the revolutionary Cleveland hiBore. Both are 9.5* of loft and come with identical shafts. Which of the two drivers would you prefer to use on a stranded golf course? Why??

K. Tried the Hibore and just about every 983k combination was longer. Plus the K looks normal and has the best feel of all time. And also i guess since i have all the time to practice, forgiveness won't matter

First of all, how does an island or golf course become stranded? I've heard of deserted islands and people being stranded on such islands . . . but I've never known of any islands that actually strayed away from its family and got stranded . . .

Secondly, how revolutionary is the Hi-Bore exactly? Hasn't exactly swept the golfing world from what I can tell . . .

So, by default, I'd take the 983K, which continues to be a great stick.

(With some many drivers out there, why are these two our only choices?)

983K...Hands down...I actually play better with a smaller driver head, even the BS J33 460 didn't compare to my J33P..only the 905R gave me decent results out of all the "big boys"

Plus the 983K looks great and sounds much better than the hibore...I'd even drop the 983K for the 975D

That is easy. The K. It is a lot straighter than the Hibore. The Hibore puts to much spin on the ball for me.

Well when I first made this post I had just gotten back from one of the golf retailers up here. I have been demoing all of the recent 460CC drivers for the last few months...since April. I had narrowed my choices down to SQ, hiBore and the 905R.

There is a certain feel I'm looking for. The feel of where it felt solid at impact and hot. Like my old busted 540XD(I loved thefeel of it). My Cobra 460SZ does not have that feel at all and I have stuck with it for the year but this isn't the driver for me. So when I was at the store it came down to the hiBore as far as stats went (launch etc). But, my memory recalled how good the 983K felt last year when I borrowed one. So the 983K entered the fray. I was looking for an opinion/comparison of the two and what better place than here.

I only say the the hiBore is revolutionary beacause of the head shape. Nothing more..nothing less.

LOL...as far as the stranded cocept...merely a figure of speech.
