Bigger question, worth it to bring my clubs?

Hey everyone,

Just found out I'm doing my last cross country of flight school up to Chicago this weekend. I've never been and I'm curious as to what I should look at doing while I'm up there. Should have all of Sat and some of Fri and Sun to explore. I was kind of looking to play a little golf in cooler weather (compared to the 4th level of hell we've had in south Texas recently) so I was wondering if there were any suggestions for places to look at and whether I should bother trucking my sticks up for probably max a day of golf.

Are you staying the city or suburbs? If suburbs, do you know which one? There are a LOT of courses to choose from and we can point you in the right direction.

Haha, I wish I knew where exactly I was staying. All I know is I'm flying in somewhere about 80mi away and then given a rental car for the weekend. So I guess it's pretty open.

80 miles sounds like rockford. There are plenty of amazing courses out that way let us know tho!

Got some info today, just gonna be flying in near Moline... then picking up the car and trucking it into Chicago. So just about anything is game, just trying to enjoy the weekend.

Moline? That aint near Chicago!

But nonetheless its a no brainer.... TPC Deere Run in Silvis is your best bet.
You can play 36 holes for under $100 with their replay rate if I recall.

Yea moline is well 2 hours no traffic to chicago lol. You have Galena the general. TPC deere run. Those would be my two I would play.
