So far it's really good. It's the middle of winter ere but I have hit a few and it seems like tipping the BB that much was a good choice. Should be a good battle in the spring I'm sure I'll end up with at least one more driver before then.

The 290 9.0 T3 head I had, the Miyazaki C Kua 43x it started with gave it adequate launch height, but spun too much for me. A Kasula Indigo 56 stiff would just fall out of the air on me due to a lack of spin the next shaft I tried. They both launched about mid to mid high. I'd err to more loft and perhaps mid spin in the shaft category. The 10.5 XL Custom/Black Tie worked out really well for me this season. I like going up in loft as much as I can and keeping the spin in check with the shaft choice. XL Custom stock at 45"/D4 was a winner for me. Wasn't a big fan of the "superlight" trend.

Much agreed but I can hit a mean slice at times so a open face will make that super bad. Pear shaped drivers look so much nicer at address though. Have you tested the classic vs the i20 yet? I bet they will be neck and neck

Ya I'm not a huge fan of the stock shaft either it feels almost to smooth and it jacks with my tempo. But the spin was good for me 2880 with a launch angle of 13.3 carry distance of 223 and total distance 241 not too shabby for me at least

I have hit 2 balls with each by sticking a tee into our snow covered road. Both were very similar looking in flight. I'll let you know when I get to hit them side by side.

I have hit 2 balls with each by sticking a tee into our snow covered road. Both were very similar looking in flight. I'll let you know when I get to hit them side by side.

I'd say they will be within a rock throw of each other with only small differences. I bet the classic will have better dispersion because the shaft is heavier. Let me know when you get to test them... In the mean time don't let the cabin fever get to you to much!

Haha same here I'm waiting on some ferrules to get here so I can reshaft my royal collections tommorrow and hopefully I'll get to sand blast and refinish this old putter I bought by Friday. If the ice and snow doesn't hit too bad.

A x100? Sounds like a fairway finder and long and straight with tons of roll! I think a bimatrix in a 7.5 head would be a killer combo if you have a good swing speed like yourself.

New bag on the way. Black 2013 PING Hoofer with Blue accents. Picking it up this weekend.

Thinking about making a "duffnerized" hybrid by matching it up to my iron specs, both length and shaft of a 2 iron. Maybe a baffler pro? Or a pro a12? Looking for something around 18-19 degrees that won't want to go left and I can hit like an iron... Suggestions?

I have tried the super 9031 and LS along with the DHY. Loved the performance of the DHy but I wasn't a fan of the offset. I didnt like the look of the white heads at all. I have a Super LS 17* sitting in the closet I could refinish I guess

I don't want it to be super long though. More of a placement club.
