Playing Sage Valley

Any advice, do's, don'ts, how early should i arrive and is there a caddie i should request or do they pick it for me? THX!

Great track and I played last Saturday 95degree weather it was hot and hilly to walk but enjoyed every bit of it.

- No cell phone is allowed. Security gate guard will "kindly" remind you that.

- They allow shorts so if you are playing in May you can wear shorts.

- Non tipping facility most of part

- Locker room guy is nice with shoes shinning and cleaning.

- Hats are off inside of club house

- must try their "fried pickles"

- Ask Tommy (Caddy Master) who he recommends as caddy. Tommy is great guy and he can play too, I tried to get pointers from him on the range

- Their Grouper sandwitch is something to remeber

- If you stay in cottage over night, try to have cheief to come cook for you. Bone in ribeye is just stunning.

- Green is rolling 12 to 13, very slick (bent)

- Listen to caddies when it comes to reading green or distance. They are 98% correct. (I left 2% possibility to blame our bad shots!)

- Some people try to show off how great they are, how much money they have ects... it doesn't work around Sage nor Augusta National. They all are made for sure.

- I try to tip caddies (as an extra) around 16th or 17th hole for their hard work and kindness.

- Halfway house has some drinks and food, I think it is right thing to do by offering caddies drink or food.

I was told that the food at the halfway house was no charge, is that true, if not what type of currency do they accept.

it is charged to the member account.

They don't have exact tee time so about an hour before the tee off to get there, warm up on the range and go enjoy yourself.

Be careful of the storm doors on the cottages. I had one shut quickly behind me one time when I was entering and it took out a quarter size chunk above my heel. It made walking extremely painful.

Make sure you stop by the pro shop and pick something up. They usually have a great selection of apparel. They sometimes carry hard to find brands like Martin, Donald Ross, and Peter Millar.
