New England pro golf Tour

Anyone have any info?

Looks like Greens Worldwide fired and then sued the head guy in the New England Pro Golf Tour. Also, the US Pro Golf Tour does NOT list a new england branch in it's 2007 player information. Does anyone know what happened and does this mean that the Northeast will NOT have a development tour this coming year?

Anyone?

I will see what I can find out. I was an intern there for a summer(back when it was the Cleveland Golf Tour). That picture you see of Sean O'Hair on the main page was taken by me. One of the other interns I worked with still keeps in touch. I will see if he knows anything

Greens World Wide breached the contracts when he sold the tour to them for stock options. GWW just paid Brian back over $650k for money he put into the tour himself. The problem was the US Pro Golf Tour didn't have money to pay out the Trump major & weren't playing guys on our tour. Not to mention their is a heftly lawsuit that was put forward by Brian. He ran the tour smoothly for the 6years he was sole owner, checks went out the week after, only after GWW took over were operations running shotty. He will own & run the tour as he did for the years prior next season. This guy is a multi-millionaire who needs no money as he is the owner of a multi-million dollar real estate company. Every guy out there, especially Sean O'Hair credits Brian for getting him to the next level. Bottom line is, Brian's a good guy & the NEPGT will be owned & ran by him once again.

Thanks for the info. I was worried about the NEPGT when GWW took over. GWW is a company trying to make money off guys trying to make it out there. F@ck them. From what I have heard, Hebb had/has the best intentions in mind and I am sure he thought getting GWW involved would help the tour out, not hurt it.

I hope that someone with the sincere bext interests of the players is in charge. Maybe it's for the bst for the Tar Heel tour that GWW caked out of buying them up too.

From what I read from the tarheel tour, it sounded like the Tarheel tour actually called off the deal.

Which agreed, sounds like a great bit of thinking.

From what i can see, looking at the Tight Lies tour, it seems that tour membership fees have gone from about $800 to literally $6000-8000!

Maybe someone more "in the know" can comment on all this, but it all just seems like a cash grab targetting people who are basically playing for their own money!

I'm really close to Brian, all that info is coming 1st hand from him. Brian did the samething as the Tarheel Tour did. The story is the Tarheel Tour is looking to mix in with our tour, that way our guys can play there in the spring before the NEPGT starts. email me if you'd like & i'll forward the emails i have gotten from Brian regaurding this.

Golfweek had an interesting story on the US Pro Tour a few weeks ago. Based upon the information provided about the guy running the tour, I would not give him my money. They entire setup reeks of a setup likely to leave guys holding empty checks.
