Hey Springbok... Met most of the Saffers this evening in the 19th.

 

Yep Stenson very happy and I honestly believe Ernie is overdue for an equipment change. The guys played really well today and have to admit Ernie's & Sergio's round were very disapointing.

 

Anyway have a few buks on Ernie & Furyk to win this weekend.

 

Furyk played so consistant. Hasn't missed a lot of fairways if any and just played rocksolid golf.

 

Nice to hear that he enjoys the SA crowds and reckons one of the best places to play golf.

Good sticks. Very underated. Stenson should do well with them. Furyk's had his best year to date since he switched. They've gotta feel better than his callaways; no disrespect intended to Callaway users.

i would have thought that he would have used pro 100 irons instead of I506's due to his amzing ball stricking.

Stenson used X-18 Pro series when with Callaway, so the I-506 seem to be a natural fit. He's one long bomber off the tee. Even though his contract doesn't include a driver, like Furyk's contract, it will be interesting to see what Stenson uses, and if he adopts a Srixon driver as well.

Look at the pics. At least Furyk's look less clunky than stock. I thought Furyk used clubs that were pretty stock but maybe not. Pics can be decieving but those look like a more narrow sole and slightly different cavity.

Took me a while, but I got it for you....

 

Hes got Rifle Lites 7.0 (interesting to see a rare shaft in there)

 

(sorry for the delay, since they were put together in Europe it took me longer to get the info)

hey goodvibes:from what i've heard and seen the i-506 irons that fyruk uses are a little different than stock.they have a bit more offset and there are no heel and toe notches like the retail i-506's have.hope this helps
