Marcel Siem won his first European Tour event since 2004 at the French Open last week, and his victory was the first for a new driver shaft from Grafalloy.

The new Grafalloy White Blue shaft is similar to the popular Grafalloy Blue, but its cutting-edge material has a lower resin content and thinner, aerospace-grade graphite fibers.

"It's designed with the same ball flight characteristics, but incorporates the very best of today's new composite material technologies," said Chad Hall, director of product marketing and global tour operations for True Temper Sports. "We unveiled the shaft in May at the BMW PGA Championship, and we obviously didn't have to wait too long to see some very dramatic results. We're extremely excited to see the White Blue win so quickly."

Siem, who used the shaft in his TaylorMade RBZ driver, hit 73.6 percent of fairways - second best in the field - and averaged 302.1 yards off the tee.
