Maltby TE Forged review

So, as promised, i will now give my mini review on my newly purchased maltby te forged 5 iron. I took it out to the course today along with my set of titleist 710 cb irons to see how it would perform, and let me just say, it exceeded my expectations. Not only is this club ten times easier to hit than my 710 5 iron, but it is just money when it comes to accuracy. The whole set of te irons have a constant .100" offset, so they look just like any top of the line players cavity back out there, but they are miles ahead of any in the forgiveness category. I have never hit such a forgiving blade iron in my life. The turf interaction on this club is just phenomenal. I am honestly just so overwhelmed at how much better this club performed for me than my titleist, I am already ordering the rest of the set lol. Im sure my girlfriend will be happy to hear this as I already told her my 710s would be the last iron set i would be buying for a long time. Well, they were only in my bag for about 2 months haha. But honestly, if anyone is looking for a players cavity with all the looks and clean lines of any top of the line OEM, i SERIOUSLY urge you to look into the Maltby TE Forged irons because they are the best feeling/forgiving/performing irons I have ever hit. And dont just take my word for it, look up any reviews on these irons and you will find nothing but pure satisfaction from every owner.

I'm late to this review, but someone may find my experience useful.

Played Mizuno, Titleist and Hogan blades for 30 years. Play off an 8. Bought a Maltby TE test iron last fall with an FST 115 shaft (stepped version). After fiddling around both on the range and on the course over the late fall/winter, have ordered the full set. The club(s) are of a very high build quality, look great at address, are extraordinarily forgiving, allow for flighting the ball (knockdowns to high floaters), and are - with the FST 115 shafts - the silkiest on contact of any club I've ever played. (per working the ball: since the balata ball disappeared I'm unable to work it left/right to any significant degree regardless of club used...how Bubba can bend the "new" ball 40 yards is beyond me). If I sound like a honk for Maltby's clubs...well, so be it. I think this is a great product. I wish I'd stumbled onto them years ago.

(TNGolfer8)- I also had a club built last fall and I'm currently playing a set of these in 5-GW, and I believe these are some of the best irons being made today. It is a beautiful forged cavity back that is very easy to hit both high and low. Something that is unique to this club is that it will take both parallel and taper tip shafts, and as already mentioned, has minimal offset. Right now I'm playing 9 Maltby clubs (including 2 KE4 Tour hybrids) and will probably order the new KE4 fairway woods in April. I'm with you, Maltby (Golfworks) makes great products.

I played the original iteration of these irons, the MO-5s, for 5 years. Best iron I used. Decided I needed more forgiveness and went to the original ke4 tours for 4 years, and now I'm on to the new model ke4 tours (black). THESE are awesome. The TEs are more sleek looking fr sure, but if you need a more forgiveness, the ke4 tours are the ticket.
I too am a maltby shill. I play the tricep wedges, awesome, new pure track putter, and use on and off the ke4 tour hybrids. I had used the ke4st driver, but am in love for now with my Adams f11. The st is an awesome driver, tho.

Driver: SIM 9*, Ventus 6R
FWs: Maltby ke4 ist 17*, kura kage silver 65 R; ke4 ist pro 20*, Maltby fw shaft

4H: Srixon ZX, Evenflow Riptide 80 5.5

Irons: Golfworks TS2, 5i Recoil F3; 6i-GW , Nippon 950GH reg (all + 1/2”)
Wedges: Golfworks TSW 52 & 58
Putter: Odyssey versa 12
Ball: Maxfli tour x

These reviews are right on. I've had MO5's and TE's in the bag or back up for years. I've hit most of the forged offerings
and Maltby are as good as any of them when set up properly. In fact, I still have a set of MO5's as a back up set to my
2013 Ping Ansers ! Using them now, over the Winter, as my gamer set until playing conditions improve. Sweet feeling for sure.

Maltby and Wishon forged deserve more love.
