Am I still flipping?

Thanks in advance for comments! I have been having a tough time keeping my hands ahead of the clubface which is resulting in high and launch and spin especially with my driver. I was working on this at lunch and took this video. It's not the greatest but its the best I could do!

I freeze frame some points as best i could using the youtube cursor. it does appear you may have an early release. i see a few other things that could ideally be different. let me ask you this. are your happy with your consistancy, distance and ball flight.

for instance i see you take it back inside and across at the top. you also have bit of a flying elbow, but non of that matters if it comes down into good position. whats your ball flight. is your swing easy to repeat. or do you lose it frequently?

if you want more lag you have to kinda relax the tension from your arms and wrists more; let the clubhead do more of the work. try and keep the shaft 90* to your left arm almost all the way down to the ball and release the clubhead throught the impact zone. tie that together with focus on the body pivoting through the swing.

i wouldnt focus too much on the hands being ahead off the ball with a the driver as your not striking down on the ball like an iron. it is nice to have good lag and release and rythum though; or a tempo you can take from club to club with a full swing thats consistant.

My ball flight is pretty high with a nice little draw. My consistency has been good actually, I played with a course pro a few weeks ago and he did say that I get the club back in good position. The one thing I would like is lower ball flight from my driver. I noticed my arms look pretty tense so I need to work on that for sure.

Tee it lower and bring it back a ball or two. Make contact slightly lower on the face. I saw that on big break golf fix edition. But if you think about it, doesnt it always usually work out that way? Bringing teeing it back a ball or 2 would almost make it impossible to flip up at it. You have no choice but to lead more with the hands.



i found this compelling video that i believe would affect tempo, tension, release without manipulating so much with tense arms. pay no attention to his hair as he makes this very compelling argument for this little move. in fact when i forget to does this i get tight usually slice. and when i do without thinking my swing feels very natural. I would say slow your back swing down more of a 2-1 ratio. Try to take the club back in one piece ans set you wrist nearer the top of the swing.
