He Ya'll from MS!!

Just joined your wonderful, if not ad intensive, forum. A little background on me:

 

Recently retired from aerospace at the ripe old age of 55. Started this wonderful game in my early forties and have played intermittently since then, mostly intermittently... Now that I have the time, I want to get my game to a point where I can enjoy the time on the course and the

investment made. IOW, I want to get a lot better.

 

I was taught as a 2 planer, tried the Hardy one plane with some success, but still on a search for an easy and repeatable swing (LOL, aren't we all).

 

For all the gear heads, and I am one myself, here is what I'm currently playing:

 

Titleist 905 driver - Play it again sports special

Adams speedline 3 metal

TM 3 hybrid - my nemisis

TM TP MCs - luv em

Cleveland gap wedge 588 forged - superb club

Cleveland 56* degree CG10 - meh

Ping Anser putter

 

My home course is the Refuge in MS. A challenging and well maintained course.

Welcome to the site. I lived in Madison for a year and in Brandon/Flowood for 5 years. I used to practice at the water range at Refuge all the time until I joined Colonial CC. I only played a few rounds at Refuge and most of my public course rounds were with friends at Pearl Muni or Eagle Ridge since they're so cheap. I also love that Play It Again. I used to visit about once a week looking for deals. The owners are really good guys.

I moved to Franklin TN a few months ago though....

You should have a good time on this site though. Prepare to spend some money though..... you can't help it after reading through all the threads

Yeah, I currently live in Brandon and joined the Refuge due to its' challenging nature and a 100 bucks a month for all the golf you can play is a great deal for a retiree. Will have to check out Colonial, though...

Thanks for the welcome. Yes, I can play during the colder months, but, believe it or not, it does snow down here on occasion and when it dips below 50 F, my timbers do get to shivering
