Howdy!

Your swing isn't slow. People are seeing a deliberate takeaway and improperly characterizing what they see. As far as the shanks go, you are falling forward in your swing quite a bit, which could bring the hosel into play. Pardon my saying so, but if you put the computer cursor right on your butt-line and leave it there till you reach impact, you can see just how much forward you are going.

not a bad swing but theres few things if you want it more consistant.

1 your swing plane is decent but you could come down a little more inside to help distance.

2 i think you get on your toes to help release the club for more clubhead speed. your having to depend on consistant footwork. i tend to see more women even on the lpga do this, but its rare with men except somtimes with the driver but never with an iron. might be a woman thing to generate power. no big deal except timing has to be consistant

3. I see you cast and unhinge your wrist almost rite at the top. if you could maintian some more wrist hinge more on the way down you would get more clubhead speed when you release. practice keeping that right wrist folded as long as you can on the down swing.

4 your shoulders look quite a bit rolled forward at address. it may be comfortable but could lead to tense arms. so keep that in mind. ideally you want square shoulders at adress.

im thinking if you on occasion caste too much and mistime your footwork that explains your shanks, thin shots, fat shots.

my suggestion is work on maintaing your lag and bring it down a little more inside. it will change how you need to close the hands but those two would increase clubhead speed and ball trajectory. balanced flat feet will eventually help you get on the ball more conisistant. good luck. im thinking start with bringing it down inside and maintain more wrist hinge. you gotta to learn that first, before how to put it through the ball clean. goodluck again. swing changes usually make it worse first till you figure it out.

take a look at this swing. see how the shaft bisects here forearm on the way down, and how much hinge she maintains. this would be considered an inside downswing promoting long draw flight. focus on where the club is at the 17-18 second mark

good eye rickbgolfer, wow. yes. i saw all these little problems but not the cause. yes yes. typically you want to do the opposite of moe normand here. OP it would help to stand closer to the ball. simply stand a few inches closer at address.getting your arms to hang closer to vertical. It will much improve consistancy. It will also get you in better position to strike downward at the inside of the ball. It may feel crowded at first as you have swung with the hands away from your body for 2 years.

My suggestion would still be look at lexis club position at the 17-18 second mark in the above video. This is more of the feel you want. You dont have to be this flat or inside but more like it would improve shot shape. If you simplfy your footwork that will increase consistancy. Lag will increase clubhead speed without trying as hard. And more inside will increase flight dynamics for distance with less effort.
