Thoughts on my swing (5 iron)

Hello fellow WRX'ers. Please take a look and reply with any comments. Was trying to hit a lil fade and may have pulled them both. Both were hit off of the toe. This has been very consistent. After each session at this dome, I have very noticeable ball marks on the towards the toe. Main miss is a pulled right-to-left moving shot. TIA

Aron I just took a look. Overall you have a pretty good swing.

Took me a while to figure out how to view frame-by-frame. Fist thing I noticed is on your take away, if you watch when the cluv is parallel with the ground the club head is outside your hand line. Not much but it is noticable. What appears to be causing that is your left arm is getting to far disconnected from the body. Now look at impact and your left arm is a good 6 inches flying away from your body, and your left elbow is pointing down the target line.

[u]Try standing a little closer to the ball[/u], and keep both of your elbows pointing to their respected hip pockets. A good drill is to put a towel uder your left arm pit and hit pitch shots to get the feel of having the left arm being connect at impact. It is OK to have th eleft arm leave the body at the top of a full swing to get extension and to stay on plane, but it has to be reconnected half way down.

I cannot be sure, but I think you may be leaning forward a bit too much at setup. It is an issue that I have had to fix for myself. If your weight is on the balls of your feet / toes, try moving it back a bit, by 'sitting' into your setup a bit, splitting the weight between the balls of the feet and heels.

Best way to tell if you are leaning to far foward is real easy. If you cannot lift up your toes in your shoes and wiggle them, then you are leaning to far foward.

Focus on hitting the inside of the ball. It will not be easy for you but you look like your trying to be too fundamental. Focus on hitting the inside of the ball any way you can with no swing thoughts.

Your camera angle isn't quite square with your footline...so you can't really pay attention to any angles that you see on this video.

I agree with someone above that you are leaning too far forward.
