Los Angeles area club fitting

Any recommendations for great club fitters in the LA or surrounding area?

 

I'm looking to get fitted for a whole new bag and was strongly considering setting up a trip down to the Titelist HQ in Carlsbad to do the Tour fitting, but I'd rather not be limited to one specific manufacturer.

 

Cost isn't really a concern. I just want a thorough fitting by people who know their stuff and aren't trying to sell me whatever the most expensive new club they have is.

Not sure if you have gotten a fitting done yet or found someone but you should check out Ben Krug. He's the head pro at Angeles National and works out of the Swing Fit trailer on the driving range there.

I had a swing analysis with him and he was friendly and helpful. It almost turned into a mini lesson and he emailed me some pics/vid as well as some of the things we discussed like possible club changes to make and drills he told me about during the mini lesson.

I ended up going down to the Fitting Studio in Long Beach too. Over the course of a few sessions, I got fit for a new driver, 3W, hybrid, and irons and I highly recommend checking them out.

Matt at the studio does all of the fitting and club building himself and definitely knows his stuff.

I was down in SoCal last winter for my winter break to golf. decided to do a fitting with somewhere since we don't have trusty "tour" fittings up here. ended up doing the fitting with Matt at the fitting studio in long beach. I couldn't afford to get my whole set done there, but I did a driver fitting and an iron/wedge fitting. I ended up getting Matt to re-fit my iron set. went from stock S300's in my VR pro blades that had flexes all over the map, lofts and lies all outta wack, and now I have them shafted with c-taper X and the lofts and lies all fit properly. driver recommendation was for cobra amp cell pro with matrix 6M3-X. couldn't afford that setup so went with the Cleveland classic XL custom that came with the 6M3 stock. needless to say, it was my best season of driving and ball striking ever, and lowest handicap ever. I'm a big believer in the fitting process now and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Matt over at TFS.

The Fitting Studio isn't there anymore. Anyone know what happened? Matt was a cool guy. All of a sudden the trailer was gone one day and it's been a while since I've seen it.
