Bought A G5 This Weekend

came with an nvs 75g x shaft..

So, as my woes with the R7 have been related...this weekend i normally play in the biggest tournament of the year for me, a three day amatuer for our city...as i had no driver and felt like my game and golf in general SUCKED....i didn't enter...a buddy wanted me to go down to a course north of seattle to play and as there was a chance we might have a little shower or two i was not into it....he got me with a....Jorgensens golf has the G5's in stock....been wanting to see one so i relented...

They had a number in and a launch monitor etc...first time i've been in one..my ss was average about 112+ my other whatever was 160+ so that was cool...my swing looked horrible..and i can see why i've had problems with the driver...i tore a back muscle on the middle of the right ribs...i know this is a common spot for golfers and i have been over compensating for that for awhile...so i got that fix happening in my head now and am working on correcting it....

I ended up with a 9.0 with an NVS 75g X shaft....not overly found of nv shafts but to find an x model in a retail store...and to hit it half decent was a plus....on the course i only felt like i hit it a couple times decent on the back...and i hammered it pretty good...nothing huge and beyond belief...but good length for me and straight....i don't know if this driver or an FT-3 will be in the bag..but so far i'm pretty happy with it...fingers crossed...

What ball did you played with and average distance?

i play the pro vx ball though i just bought some cally tour56's as they seem to chew up less and have a little less spin..(i spin way too much)...i would say on my longest drives, i got out to 300 but with a tail wind...on a semi miss i was in the 260 range..
