Student golf trip in Myrtle Beach - Low budget

Hi everyone,

 

I'm planning a golf trip with 2 of my classmate. We're from Canada and we wanna play some golf. We're so freakin tired of winter! MB seems to be the place to be.

 

I know I'm late but our spring break starts on March 3rd and we plan to be there from March 4th to 8th. We just take our car and drive down south. Been to MB twice but it was during summer and we did it for the beaches.

 

We never did a golf trip and we don't know what to chose between golf packages or stay at cheap motels and pickup some random golf courses. What do you suggest?

 

Honestly, our budget is very low... We don't want to spend hundred of dollars to play some of the nicest course, we actually just wanna play golf and enjoy a couple(well...) of beers.

 

It's my first time here... I don't know the courses. We want some cheap course and fun courses.

 

What's the weather? I heard it's around 70 degrees at this time of the year. Maybe I'm wrong.

 

I know there's some plenty of topics like this one but mine is for student's budget.

 

If you know some cheap motels or hotels to be suggested, be free! I don't know the place very well.

 

I don't care about eating peanut butter sandwiches all week. All I wanna do is golfing !

Weather will be between 50 to 70 possible. You have everything from motel 6 to Days Inn and Marriott's.

What area do you want to stay in? You looking for Night life or just golf sleep and golf?

If you're looking to stay on a cheap budget some good courses are: The Hackler Course (my colleges home course), the witch, wizard, man o war. More inland Aberdeen, Black Bear (where I played my high school golf) Shaftesbury Glenn, Long Bay. Rivers edge, Crow Creek and Farmstead are all pretty nice and are on the border of SC and NC. I live in Myrtle Beach so if you need any info or stuff PM me.

If you want to just play some cheap golf here in Myrtle some very budget friendly tracks are Wicked Stick, River Oaks, Whispering Pines, and maybe check out some deals on Golfnow.com

I have played all three and you will enjoy them, the cooler is a 6 pack only policy if i remember correctly.

What order are you playing them in?
