i shot in the low 80s last summer

and steadily improving

its the short game that gets me.

well i was just wondering what are the low scores for the cjga tournys.

it willl be my first year playing competitively.

You can't win yet.

 

What you can do is soak up all your experiences in this year of playing and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. Play as many events as possible and work on your game so that when your 17-18 you can be a top player.

 

Don't try to go out there this year and shoot a 72. A better goal for yourself would be to set a goal like...say "I want to shoot under 85 every round" and try to accomplish that...maybe in July when your games getting better say "I want to shoot in the 70's every round" or " I want to have less than 30 putts this round" focus on little goals and the big ones will come in the future.

but seriously i hit lots of greens and fairways.

but its my putting that needs A LOT of work.

i shot 82 one day and hadd around 40 putts.

just gotta focus on that.

im a long hitter compared to other guys.

longest drive to date is 382 yards. slightly downhill.

getting fitted for my driver sooon

so maybe some better results.

i have a 905S 9.5 with a NV stiff

It doesnt matter how far you hit it if you have no short game lol.

 

In the CJGA guys will hit it 250 and never miss a putt there are some GOOOOD golfers when you go to bigger tournaments.

 

 

Like I said don't go out this year trying to win because you will just get your confidence down when you dont.

 

 

Try to build up a bunch of top 10's or play smaller events...if you play smaller events with 15-20 golfers then you have a chance to win.

 

Just go out play your game and see what happens...

 

You should be able to finish top 10 a lot with 80-80 but there usually is a winner in around the +5 range for two rounds.

 

just practice and don't worry about winning all the time...winning will come.

Also when you are checking the scores before you get over confident, make sure you are switching the age from Boys 13 and under to your age group...

 

big difference in scores lol
