The Foothills Golf Club - Phoenix

Anyone played here recently?? I played about 3 months ago and the greens were JACKED! Everything else was really really nice but the greens were dead in spots and just look horrible. When you would putt the ball would kinda zig zag.

 

Reason I am asking, a friend of mine who is gonna buy the Gold Card was thinking of getting it there to get a free round...I was telling him to goto Club West or The Duke.

I'd tell him to not even bother getting the gold card, compare gold card rates with golfnow and gn is usually cheaper.

I think he is thinking about joining the Mens Club at Club West...in which the Gold Card is required.

Unless someone knows of a better (cost comparitive) Mens Club near Ahwatukee

Looking at GNow prices and Gold Card prices...right now Gold Card is $59 and GN.com is $75 (for club west and the duke)

Played Club West yesterday and its in the best shape I've ever seen. The greens are rolling like 11's and the fairways are absolutely perfect.

Never liked the foothills, when the greens looked good they were slower than Na and Crane playing together, Overall the course has always had some major flaw the few times I played it so I just stopped going
