"official" info.

OK. It looks like there's a good number who might be interested in playing The Wilderness on SUNDAY, Jan. 28th. Since the original list was based on playing the 27th, I though I'd start this to get a good idea of how many will be there. I'm going to call tomorrow and make tee times (I'm going to start with 3 slots), and will post the actual times here when I find out (shooting for around 8:30 to 9:00). From what the guy said last week, we will all be given a Lake Jackson resident discount rate of $45, which I do not believe includes range balls, but I'll see if they'll throw some in for us.

Also, the invitation to go to my parents' house afterward is still open. Burgers OK with everyone?

Below is the list of those who have said they would be able to play on Sunday specifically. Most of the original commits were for Saturday with no reply about Sunday, so if you want to play, please let me know again in this thread. Thanks.

Whoa, not everyone at once fellas.

Seriously, though, we have 3 tee times starting at 8:45 Jan 28th. They are giving us the resident rate of $45, as well as range balls at no charge. Anyone that has played the course will tell you that this is a steal, especially at prime time on a weekend.

I need to know by the middle of next week a confirmed number of players so I can give them a final count.

I have to let them know by Thursday as close to a final number as I can get, so if anyone else wants to play, please let me know ASAP before I cancel the extra slots. Weather looks good for Sunday, too. :)

How was Wilderness? I ended up playing Memo at the last minute with Homer while the wife shopped.....went -2 on the par 3's!! But throw in something like +3 or 4 on the par 5's too......... :rolleyes:

These irons are so much more predictable now that the lie angles are changed back to "normal"

Also, can't wait for the new all-Callaway bag to come in!

I know you were interested in the GS Tour's.....they have a higher ball flight, but the ground was pretty wet so no roll.....I would say they feel a little bit "harsher" (just not as buttery) than the NP-99's (which I think is still the best fw out there)

Kiran has already seen just how high the GS Tour can actually launch the ball. :rolleyes:

Wilderness was a lot of fun. We got to watch my brother self-destruct....again.

In all fairness the near death experience for the GS tour happened the day before the Wilderness, the damage wasn't that bad, but the club's not definitely not going anywhere . . . :cheesy:

Live and learn.

Tony, I'm pretty impressed with it, it's very muted feel, compared to my SS-07, and it does hit the ball fairly high. I haven't hit the NP-99 yet, but I think the GS will stay in the bag over my SS-07.

How was Memorial Tony?
