Terrorists already look pretty funny conducting their jihad in Nike and Adidas wear. Now they are going to look even more funny holding a trash can lid as a deflector shield.

 

Just wait until one of them figures out how to refocus the beam.

 

I would call this one of the dumbest ideas ever embarked upon by DoD, but the public probably does not get to hear about 1/10th of the goofy experiments our tax dollars are wasted on.

If they were to miniaturize this thing, it could be a quick way to get a tan - or maybe a new form of wrinkle removal. Heck, maybe they should just attach this thing to a helicopter, fly over the cities of Arizona, and get rid of extra neck skin at the retirement communities.

 

From what I've heard about this thing in the past, its mostly designed for crowd control. Because of that, lets hope they leave it over seas.
