tall grass is a cow pasture, and the tee time hassel is what i'm trying to get away from. i'm looking to have a guarenteed time early sunday. i can squeeze other courses in at my leisure. bethpage has become a golf mecca to certain people on long island. unfortunately these people dont mind five and a half to six hour rounds,and sleeping in the parking lots. please don't tell me getting out is easy, because thats only during the week or afternoons. the idea is to not have to find a time on the weekend. so back to the original question, PINERIDGE?

P.S. eisenhower park, red and white, is in better shape than tall grass. and by the way, play the white course from the new back tees, it plays long.

I dunno, we always get our time on sat or sun morning around 10:30 AM on Black most of the summer.

Its weird, the guy who books our times in our four has magic fingers on the phone.

We always joke about it, but he does seem to be blessed. We all use our #'s once a month and then we get someone to come in a fill out the group on sun

the length of time to play on Red and the other Bethpage courses is definately an issue, but on black, even tho its a long day, to me atleast, it never seems to get backed up, as everyone is having the same trouble.

Personally I dont mind a longer day, its just all the waiting when things get backed up. Sometimes 8 on black has a group or 2 but its cleared up usually by the 10th tee. We usually get it around in 5 hrs.

Well i dont know when youre looking to check it out, but if you can wait, the Golf Channel Amateur tour is going to play an event there.

I played those events (not Pine Ridge tho) when it as the Ultra Golf Tour but for me, the time to play the events was definately an issue. Last year's Regional at Long Island National took almost 6 hrs...

By the time i drove back to the city, with all the traffic, i got home around 10PM...
