Miura 2007 and Epon 302

Anxious to hear your respective input relative to the Miura MG 2007 and the Epon 302 relative to forgiveness, feel, distance and playability. Both are beautiful clubs.

I have owned and played both. And, of course, both are excellent, high-end irons from great manufacturers. Long story short, I sold the 2007 and game the 302s. (Also have a set of 502s and AF 551.) The 302 set is one of the best in the world and can be comfortably played by anyone with a reasonably consistent swing who finds the center of the club face much more often than not. There is forgiveness, but I would not recommend them to, say, 12-handicappers. If you want a club that balances performance and forgiveness somewhat equally, I would recommend the 502,503 sets. I am an Epon fan, but I also game my Miura PP9003s as well. Sort of back and forth between those and the 302s, with the latter the iron of choice when I'm playing a lot and the swing is more grooved. Epon is ungodly expensive, even on the used market. So understand that. You did not describe your game, so I don't know whether the 502 or 503 irons are ones you would consider, but I don't think you can go wrong with them. If you are dead-set on the 2007 or 302, spend the extra and go with the latter. You will not regret it. And if I'm wrong and you don't like them, you can sell them in a snap.

In my opinion they are both forgiving "player cavity" irons and could not tell the difference in forgiveness between the 2. I would say the EPON 302s are not a compact size as you would expect from a "players cavity" but nothing that will deter you. Between those two you honestly cant go wrong.

FYI, we are currently running a special on EPON and MIURAS where the shaft and grip upgrades are free. exciting stuff.
