What is the Ping TFC 189 and TFC 949 Shafts??

Is this correct (Stiff flex for all):

TFC 189D = UST 5545 Silver 5

TFC 189F = UST 6530 Black 6

TFC 189H = UST 853 Silver 8

 

All are from the UST VTS line.

 

The TFC 949 Shaft (found in Rapture driving iron)?

TFC 949 = UST 852 Black 8

 

I could be off but this is my best guess. Any thoughts?

Many of the TFC shafts are made by UST for Ping. Which are what I do not know.Anyone?

Spoke with Ping, these shafts are not the VTS models. They are designed by Ping with materials, then has UST build them. I couldn't get any info on the 949 shaft as the rep new nothing about it.

I know this is an old thread, but I just added a Rapture D.I. to my set - it will be platooning with my Razr Fit extreme 5 wood with black tie shaft - and I've been poking around for info on the TFC 949 shaft (which info does not seem to be too plentiful). So, I'll add my 2 cents just for bumping purposes, so that hopefully someone with actual knowledge might see this thread and chime in.

Looks-wise, the 949 shaft is VERY reminiscent of the Fujikura Speeder 904hb in both graphics and chrome finish. It feels similar to me, although it is admittedly hard to tell since I have the Fuji in a 15* titleist 585h which I have loved in the past but have not really used in a couple of seasons. No doubt the Fuji is a bit heavier and bit more stout, but, IMHO, just a bit. I wonder if the TFC 949 is a slightly "detuned" version of the Fujikura?? I'm going to content myself thinking of it like that until someone gently corrects me.....
