Italian designer all-leather 8" cart bag

There are VERY few items that can truly be described as “unique”. Most things carrying that description were made in the thousands…or more.And, alas, most golf bags described these days as "leather" are really constructed of vinyl with (perhaps) some bonded-leather trim. This ain't one of those...

Here is an example of true uniqueness: a Terrida Venezia golf bag, in full leather, of course. I say “of course” because leather is what the house of Terrida does, and they don’t do it in large numbers.

This is an 8” cart bag, and it is crafted of top-grain Italian leather, including the bottom. The bag including pockets is lined with damask, the fittings are solid brass (even the rivets) and the zips are first-quality. Although not perfect, the bag is stunning: there are a few marks and a bit of sun-fading to the back (see pics), but no rips or tears. New, this bag cost an eye-popping 1,650 Euros (that’s over $2200!!!); the new model is about $2350 and does not have the clean, classic lines of this one. For reference, those prices represent almost 3 new Mackenzie hand-crafted leather bags made here in Portland!

The blue hand-knit headcovers shown come with the bag (the clubs do not), as does the blue umbrella (provided it will fit in the box). The headcovers are made from New Zealand wool, and there are 4 of them – driver, 2 fairways (and, yes, all the fairways have 3 stripes…that’s the only way they make them) and a utility/hybrid. There is also a large navy towel that will be included, and a heavy canvas travel cover. I do not have the original rain hood, but will include a quality universal one made by Burton.

I buy/sell/collect all-leather golf bags, and I can honestly say that this is the handsomest bag I've ever had. That includes bags from Burton, Belding, Mackenzie, Eliott, Mulholland Brothers, Sun Mountain, Slazenger and many small companies whose names I've forgotten. This bag is simply gorgeous. The little voice inside me keeps saying I should keep it, since I'll likely never see another one...but I have become a devoted Walking Golfer, and I'm too old to carry this thing!
