Doral Great White, Mclean or Miami Beach

I am headed down to Miami in 2 weeks and I am looking to play one of the following 3 courses;

Doral Great White, Doral Mclean or Miami Beach Golf Club.

I am hoping to get some feedback on the 3 courses. I played Doral Blue Monster the Thursday before the WGC event in 2012 so I don't feel the need to drop $500 to play there again but I am curious to see the rest of the resort courses now that the big guy has made some changes there. I am going to be staying less than 2 miles away from Miami Beach GC so proximity is certainly favoring this course.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Have stayed and played at Doral 10+ times. Huge fan of the Great White course. The McLean track is off property, no range and starts with back to back 460 yard par fours. Given a choice, I'm playing the GW.

Ok, so it's down to Great White or Miami Beach now

Miami Beach is less expensive and closer. Are there reasons to go to Doral again if I have already been there?

Having only played at Doral, I'm not sure if I can provide any value. The experience and treatment at Doral is always top notch but playing a new course is always fun if it's a great course. The good news is you will be golfing in Florida!

Just to throw a monkey wrench in your plans.....Crandon Park, located very close to Miami Beach in Key Biscayne, is a beautiful and challenging course. I always enjoy it...my scorecard, not so much!

Thank you for asking bdirty, my plans got changed up a bit when I saw that PGA National had an opening on the first morning of my arrival.

I wound up playing Normandy Shores when I got there. The next morning I drove from Miami Beach to Orangebrook and played 9 letting traffic break and then went up to PGA National. Had I not found the tee time at PGA National, I was going to play Miami beach.

Even though I played Normandy Shores in the rain, it certainly beat what I had escaped earlier that morning! 12-15 inches of snow in NJ! I really enjoyed that course, it was a fun course to play!
