Anyone still gaming 712 AP2?

Just wanting to see if anyone was still gaming the 712 range and how they compare overall to the subsequent iterations.

Not a huge difference but to me 714/718 felt much more forgiving than the 712, 712 had a harsh feel to me. Could’ve been because of all those extra materials they used.

I use the 712s and think they look just as nice as the latest models, I honestly didn't feel much difference with the face, although I did enjoy the feel of the px lz's that were in the 718s when I hit them..

I have a set each of the 712 family (MBs, CBs, and AP2s), and play them all. I've not tried the newer irons though, as those folks I've talked to say they really didn't notice that much difference.

I recently upgraded my Ping lineup (my other favorite brand) with a set if iBlades, so who knows? :)

I am still playing them! I have recently hit the 718 when my buddy was getting fitted for his Ping irons. I did not see much a difference in the numbers and did not justify spending the money. They will be staying in the bag until the grooves are gone or something greater comes along!

I have a set of 712's and in the past owned the original and 710's. Hit them side by side with the 714's and the 716's. Very subtle changes from model to model other than cosmetics. I haven't hit the 718's at all.

The only iteration I didn't care for were the originals. I could play the 710's, 12's, 14's, or 16's and be perfectly happy.

Still have the 710’s....worn to the nub. Wonder why some tour pros still game em...and don’t move onto the next gens???

Still gaming them and couldn’t be happier. It might be the kiss of death, but I’m planning on gaming them until the grooves wear out. I don’t agree about the harsh feel, to me they’re butter soft and do exactly what I want them to do... you know, unless I do something stupid.
