I’m a long time reader of golfwrx (like 4-5 years), and finally decided to contribute. I thought I’d make my first post some background and my WITB, since I’ve finally finished a year long overhaul of most of the bag.

For background, I got really into the game avidly in 2011 after finishing college and starting grad school in 2010. Prior to that time I would play like 5 or 6 times a year from middle school up through college. Since 2012, I’ve averaged 35-40 rounds a year and have continued to improve, getting down to a current cap of 7.6. I haven’t taken a lesson in probably like 12 years, so the improvement has really been through just becoming more consistent, getting a better feel for what shots to play, and avoiding blowup holes. As my yardages show, I’m not a long hitter. 2018 has been my best fairway and GIR year at 61% of fairways and 49% of greens in regulation, to go along with 32.9 putts/round. Most memorable round this year was definitely getting to go play Torrey Pines South (and the front 9 of the North course) when I had an extra day in SD on a business trip. Also made a stop in the Scotty Gallery Store while on that trip.

Additionally, for context, I thought it’d be fun to include a history of previous equipment with my current bag setup.
