I only ask as I'm interested in buying a used set of these. I tried some Rogue X clubs and found them super easy to hit, but didn't like the loft gaps or spin numbers. these have better lofts and more spin so I think they would be perfect (not hit them since researching them though). I would do my usual though and put a set of AWT 2.0 shafts in to them.

While there are a few reviews, there seems to be very little user feedback on them. I'm guessing most people ended up buying the M2 or M4 irons as they provided more distance due to the stronger lofts and lower spin numbers...

I can tell you, these are the most forgiving Irons that I have ever tried. Long and straight, with a nice soft feel at impact. Again, I am not unhappy with them, I was just wondering if they were going to incorporate some of the new technology in a set.

To be honest, there really isn't any "new" technology to put in them. The speed bridge isn't new (look up the old Nike slingshots), it's mostly just a marketing gimmick. At some point there is a limit to how many different design elements you can put in one club. The M CGBs have the most beneficial technology in them. Adding a speed bridge and speed foam would require a complete redesign that would require the removal of some of the things that you're finding the most benefit from.

If these irons are your faves, buy a backup set. TM seems to be focusing on players distance lines like the p790-760 right now.

The AW seems to be quite hard to find second hand. I want to go from 6 to PW including AW but still use my big bertha hybrid set to 23*. Will test it against the 5 iron though once I find a suitable set at a price I'm comfortable with before making my final decision. I like my 4 hybrid. 5 wood (at 41.5"). mini driver 14* (at 43*) and driver (at 44.5") set up at the top end of my bag. good combination of gapping and forgiveness for me, but ill probably look for newer versions of all those over the next year as I am a true WRXer and always tinkering and shopping for an "upgrade".

Also I agree on the "new" technology comment above. the speed bridge was originally on the taylormade owned Adams XTD irons back in 2014. These are just a more refined version. The speed slots were also on their Adams line up prior to moving them to they main clubs. They are basically getting closer to a hybrid with out fully enclosing the back of the club.

Good insight. Thank you.

Took the plung, just bought a 5-PW + Sw set I found at a great price. I intend on trading out the SW for AW though as I love my existing wedge but will get it bent to 53* (its a 54 currently bent to 55*). Use a 58* smart sole as my bunker / heavy rough club.

I am currently playing 4-AW in these irons and I love the high ball flight and forgiveness. Looks like you have your wedge lofts spaced out well, think you'll enjoy these.

Ben Hogan GS53 9* with UST Helium stiff  & Ben Hogan GS53 16* with UST Helium stiff

Titleist 816 H2 21* with stiff flex Diamana S+ Blue 70

Ping G400 irons 5-AW with steel AWT shafts

Callaway MD4 Wide sole wedges 54* & 58*

Seemore Nashville One Studio Series

I still prefer my hybrid to the 5. think its a confidence thing. and I put my ping 5 crossover (25deg) up against the 6 (26deg) and the cross over just edged it for me but I will probably swap them out depending on course and conditions (cross over higher launching and softer landing). the 7 to PW will be in my bag for a long time I feel though still not sold on the 840 shafts. Just need to find that AW to round out my set up. Found a set of 5-AW that i'm tempted by as they have the tour 90 shaft in which at 10g heavier suits my feels and preferred launch a little better although cant shake the feeling of wanting to put the AWTs in these.
