San Diego, Houston, Vegas?

Two 60-year-old single digit caps looking to cure cabin fever by a short trip to one of these locations .... wondering if there are some good course options at a cost of, let’s say, $150 per round or less…. Don’t know if the pro at our Pete dye course can help us get on someplace ...

I don’t get out of how much to play golf, so I’m a blank slate on this… Sorry if this is covered in other threads… Thanks for any help.

in Houston from time to time so any recommendations are appreciated for any of these locations

best courses in or around houston would be cypresswood tradition, lake jackson wilderness & memorial ... distances vary ... maybe black horse golf club ... but it's a drive to get anywhere in houston ...

I am from Houston. I'd go to San Diego

Also being from Houston - and spending much time in San Diego - would recommend in the following order:

San DiegoVegasHouston Not much character to Houston courses - flat, dry, boring. San Diego has by far the best options (Torry Pines, Coronado, Mt. Woodson, Sycuan course(s), etc.

I prefer Ventura county, CA to SD but SD has some nice courses. We played twilight at Torrey Pines South for $110 and got in 18. The South can be really hard. Make sure to choose the right tees. We lost 12 balls in the rough just off the fairways. The views are incredible and the jets / paraglider are really cool. North course is nice too. Barona Creek is a really nice course further inland. It's at higher elevation and can have some frost delays in winter. A lot of people recommend Coronado. It's cheap. I haven't played it but I love Coronado island. Such a cool place. Good luck
