Erik Anders Lang (Random Golf Club) Jones Golf Bag Release

For those of you who already know EAL, he just released a Random Golf Club branded Jones Golf Bag.

If you don’t know who EAL and RGC are, he is a young(ish) golf YouTube/social media/podcast guy that’s worth checking out. His “brand” is Random Golf Club. Very much into the soul side of golf and he’s not a lightweight, he also just did a video collaboration with BBC for The Open Championship.

What I find most interesting though is that he chose the Varsity stand bag, not the larger Utility Trouper. The Varsity is much more compact, has the classic Jones 3 section top and barrel body but modern features like a double strap and lots of pockets. I actually just took delivery of a regular Varsity and was extremely pleased with it in all facets... except I couldn’t get the straps to work for me so it’s heading back. Even so, I strongly recommend to anyone that’s looking for a well made, classic looking bag that comes in right at 5 pounds. Jones X RGC Varsity Stand Golf Bag (White)

i wish they made that varsity bag in something other than white, would love to give it a hsot.

Yeah, think they did a had it in grey also right when it first came out. The white is super sharp looking and the material is much thicker than what you tend to see on bags today so I think if you spray with scotch guard or something similar it would hold up/clean up easily and look good for a long time.

His content is entertaining. His approach to the game isn't the same as mine but fun to watch nevertheless.

One of my favorite episodes is when he goes to Japan to visit Miura and gets fit for a club. His content is extremely well produced.

I bought the Jones Utility Trooper for my 14 year old son. Such a cool bag I thought about ordering one for me but I already have a vintage Jones Stripeshow, a Vessel cart bag and a Stitch stand bag.
