Ken,

Here is a few tips for ya

1: Putts generally tend to break towards downtown PHX(valley effect) Its more noticable at the higher elevation courses Troon, Legend Trail etc but it will still be somewhat noticable.

2: The water to the left of the green on #9 is blind from your second shot if I recall correctly. There is bailout room on the right since it is reachable in two.

Play safe on 1 with water left a bunker right about 250 out and another bunker straight ahead best play is wood/hybrid off the tee short/mid iron in. It takes all the trouble out of play and keeps a big number off the card early.

Overall its a pretty straight forward course even if you hit it in some of the desert areas the ball is still playable. If your driving the ball well that day you can cut the corner on # 5 I think. (you will know it when you see it) The tee shot gives you the option to play safe on the right side with ample fairway, or you can bomb it over a fairly significant carry on the left to leave your self a much shorter shot into the green

I really enjoy the new layout, but I have only played it once in march so my memory is a tad fuzzy on all the holes. They do give you a yardage card for the round .

They have also started completion of some of the grandstands at the stadium course so thats always cool to see what a spectacle that has become. 16th will be fully enclosed this year.

Edit: just looked at it on yahoo and google maps and it is showing the old layout so dont use that there are some similar holes but not enough to use to map the course

No prob Ken, enjoy your round. The score card on the website is current and correct on the yardages. I scoured through my golf bag and I dont have the yardage card anymore. Im not sure why they dont have a hole by hole on the website.

One putt has it pretty much correct. They will give you a yardage card at the beginning of the round and is fairly accurate. Picking the tees will determine what kind of round you may have. I think it is a strong golf course from the tips. From their Men's tees, it iis a very fun golf course. (ie a couple reachable par 5's and a drivable par 4). I will look in my bag for a yardage card and try to upload.
