Adams idea pro hybrid tour prototype

one more question. golfsmith has this in 24*. On Adams site and on ebay only 23* shows up. Did Adams ever come out with a 24* in this? or is golfsmith incorrect?

I just ordered an 18* from Golfsmith for $50, so I'll let you know how I like it when it gets here

I ordered 16, 20, 24 already this morning. worse comes to worse I can return them. Free shipping code makes it a no brainer. In the past, Ive noticed once WRX gets a hold of a potential deal I always miss out. I didnt last week with the bw .98cent grips. Didnt want to miss out here either. BTW JXT012CVN code doesnt work anymore, but FB15DPFS works the same.

I still have a 20 degree in my bag. The closest thing to removing it was the Cobra Baffler. I hit the NIckent 4DX for a while as well, but kept going back to the Adams.

Ive got an 18 in my bag, I swing a bit faster than you but boy is it a sweet club

Hey everyone, not to thread-jack, but I posted another thread asking what the stock shaft was in this head. I picked up a head of eBay which I am gaming now (it is great), but never knew what the stock option was.

I just did some reading. I think the stock shaft is aldila nvs 80 "by you". Someone then said that those only came in the first few rounds from adams and then it was a "made for" shaft. Not quite sure but I called golfsmith and they said it was an Adams Proprietary. One other thing I read was that Adams never uses made for shafts anymore but I dont know if that is something recent over the past few years, because I have an old adams ovation 3 wood and the shaft says made for adams. I would prefer a real deal shaft, but honestly with my swing i sometimes benefit from a weaker flex shaft so it doesnt make that much of a difference to me. I just dont want to get this club and automatically have to do a re-shaft if the shaft is terrible.

I still have my 18 deg and have zero plans on getting rid of it. It really is an awesome hybrid and a steal at 50 bucks. I play a ton of long par 3's from 210 to 220 and that hybrid is perfect for them

To fellow wrxers that are not familiar with the Adams Idea Pro, it is a great hybrid for an very good ball striker! It will not except anything less! Pure shots will be rewarded with low-mid trajectory bullets that go forever with low spin. These want and demand to be hit like an iron;downward strike, no sweeping. However, toe hits and heel hits are punished greatly in hooks, short slices, and dramatic loss in distance. It is a wonderful feeling when you catch these on the sweet spot ( longest hybrid I've hit). IMO, people that are 8+ handi need not apply. I myself have a oban revenge in my 18* and I'm looking to pull the shaft and put it in a TM rescue TP or a Adams A7. Also, check out the 2008 Cobra Baffler Pro, that thing is a sleeper for sure!

Yeah, its quite true that this thing needs to be hit solid. I never hit downward and take a divot like with my irons though. Slightly downward angle of attack, small turf interaction and a little chewed up grass and boy do those shots fly.

Maybe i haven't hit enough hybrids, but i have the 18 degree 2 iron, and love it. Has the stock blue aldila shaft and love it. And I'm an average ball striker. Have a Burner 4i, and it sucks in comparison.

I have 2 3 and 4. I've had them for years and never look at anything else. Once you know how to hit them they are money. Some of mine have the Adams made for vs proto and one has a genuine vs proto, I can't tell any difference. I don't struggle to hit them at all, I'm a 12/13 handicap.
