905T Help

I'm planning on buying a used 905T during the offseason and need some help on determining the right configuration. I'm lefty so it's difficult to near impossible find much less test different combo's. I currently have a 9.5 983E w/ a Fuji Tour Platform 27.3. Solid club, but I hit the ball much lower than optimal w/ this club. I had the stock speeder in this club and switched to the TP 27.3 in hopes of getting a higher launch, but it didn't work.

Basically, I'm torn between any combination of the following. Any feedback is much appreciated. My swing speed is 110-115.

Loft: 9.5 or 10.5

Shaft: Stock Speeder, NV-65, Graphite Design y6+ or Graf Blue.

I'm using a 905T 9.5°w/ Grafally Blue stiff, 44.5 inches. My ss is 110 and the club's frequency is 270. I like the feel of the head. I've played botht he E and K many times and have had idfferent shaft combo's. As for the T, it feels better and goes farther than the K. It's forgiving as anything.

As for you, I'd recomend going with the Blue as well. I've never had success with the NV in a driver, GD's always feel weak, and the stck speeder wasn't great. Good Luck.

Im 5'9" 165lbs, ss w/driver averages 118 but can crank it if i need to.... I play the 905T 9.5* w/Speeder 757 stiff ...best combo i absolutely love it...can hit any shot i need....I do hit an extremely high ball to begin with so i would recommend a lighter weight shaft which (if im correct) can allow you to hit the ball higher. Try the 905T 9.5* w/ Aldila NVS its a great combo

If you want something similar to your Tour Platform, which is a softer tip shaft (designed to elevate the ball a little more), I would recommend looking at the NVS, which is another stock option that you can find at many golf shops. It's worth a try, I would say that the Blue, (if you like the launch of your TP), would be harder for you to elevate. I had the NVS in my 905T, and it was a good combo. Another suggestion, you could look into custom ordering the head you want with the same TP 27.3 that you have in your E, I hit this shaft at a demo day, so I know they have them readily available to ship out.
